Join us for Spike, an interactive, family-friendly experience blending shadow puppetry and slapstick comedy.

Spike tells the story of an echidna who hatches far from home and is found by a young girl who is being bullied. Spike has no spikes yet, and she doesn’t know what kind of creature he is. As she tries to figure out where he belongs, Spike ends up in tricky situations… the nests of a crocodile, an emu, and a turtle. Along the way, they both learn to discover where they belong and find their own “spikes”, standing up to challenges and bullies.

Puppetry Workshop: 11:45 to 12:45pm

After the show, explore the world of shadow puppetry with experienced puppeteer Jenny Ellis. In this hands-on workshop, children will:

· Design and create their own unique puppet characters

· Work in small groups to bring their characters to life in a mini performance

· Take home their very own puppet

It’s a fun, creative experience that sparks imagination and teamwork!
