Event Details

Don't miss out on the fun! Come along to watch support your family or friends participating in the tournament.

The Australian Intercultural Society (AIS), in collaboration with Football Federation Victoria (FFV), invites you to the "AIS One World Cup". The event aims to engage intergenerational Australians with the CALD and newly emerging communities around their “shared love” of football. Our objective is to encourage young individuals from all cultures and faiths to take part in this tournament. We hope that this will stimulate social inclusion amidst our youth, in a society where many take refuge in extremism and other avenues of radicalisation to simply feel a sense of belonging.

  • Watch and support your family/friends participating in the tournament
  • Lunch will be available for purchase

Organiser

Australian Intercultural Society

Australian Intercultural Society (AIS) is a not for profit organisation that has been operating in Melbourne since 2000 with the aims of promoting multiculturalism and fostering intercultural and interfaith dialogue. We believe in reaching out to all members of society by providing a platform for cultural and information exchange.

Since its establishment, AIS has organised international study tours, academic conferences, cultural exhibitions, Ramadan multi-faith iftar dinners and government sponsored projects, among other activities. Each event provides ample networking opportunities, so the circle of people wanting to build bridges with other communities and collaborate on projects with AIS grows with each program (www.intercultural.org.au).
