Event description

Description

100 million businesses are launched every year.

And 90 million business fail every year.

The number one reason for failure is lack of market-need.

Entrepreneurs continuously fail their primary task: to nail the value proposition.

This amusing but poignant talk looks at what it really takes to nail a value proposition and create something that the market actually needs and will therefore buy. During this session you’ll expect to learn what it takes to uncover a real market need, how value delivery is the essence of innovation, and why a strong value proposition is the foundation of good marketing. You will also learn a lot about chickens.

John is a technologist, entrepreneur and restless digital transformer. His diverse background and experience ranges from maritime archaeology to theatre production means he’ll have many insights and experiences to share. His areas of studies are as diverse as his work experience and includes Engineering, Mathematics, Complexity, Computer Science and Social Ecology.

John also has a long history of entrepreneurial ventures including founding a highly successful integration company named Nexus (Nexus IT & Communications Solutions) during the 1990's. He is currently working with the fasting growing consulting firm in the world Internal Consulting Group (ICG) while exploring new opportunities in the emerging technology landscape.

This Speaker Series event is set to provide great insights, lessons and learnings from a man who’s experienced a great deal across a wide range of industries!
