Southern Cross Grammar is proud to present the internationally acclaimed Matilda the Musical, inspired by Roald Dahl’s beloved classic: Matilda.

Based on the book by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, Matilda follows the story of Matilda Wormwood, an extraordinary girl with a sharp mind, vivid imagination and psychokinetic powers who dares to take a stand against her cruel headmistress Ms Trunchbull and change her destiny with the help of her classmates and kind teacher, Miss Honey.

Presented live by our talented students over four spectacular shows in our new auditorium in the Centauri Centre, Matilda the Musical is sure to thrill all book lovers, children and adults alike with high energy performances, engaging music, and a story that transcends the imagination.

Accessible Seating

We have reserved accessible seats that cater to wheelchairs in the front row of the auditorium for audience members and their guests. Please email events@scg.vic.edu.au if you would like to purchase tickets for these seats and we will assist you with your booking.

COVID-19 and Vaccination Requirements

In line with government guidelines, all attendees over the age of 18 must be fully vaccinated to watch the show unless they provide a valid medical exemption. All attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination or a valid medical exemption to enter the Centauri Centre.
