Southampton Homestead owners Michelle and Jeff welcome you to the 2016 Open Day! Come along to hear about our regenerative and holistic approach, a guided tour of the farm, see how the cows are moved every few days and for the brave-hearted, a demonstration of a harvest in action!
This Open Day is supported by the South West Catchments Council’s Regional Landcare Facilitator Programme, through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme. For more information and to get involved in Landcare, visit www.swccnrm.org.au.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided after the tour. For those interested in further detail on farming practices, a dedicated Q & A session following the tour will be available.
Please note: NO DOGS! No, not even your super-friendly, well-trained dog. Please leave your dog at home and we'll all enjoy the day more. Ensure you bring appropriate gear for all weather, especially footwear (think mud, wet and dirt!).
Children (under 18) are admitted free and a small entry fee of $10 per adult applies.
We are in google maps! Pop 'Southampton Homestead' in there and you shouldn't end up in the middle of a pine forest. Please note mobile reception is limited, and you'll be driving on gravel roads. Allow three hours travel time from Perth.
We encourage you to enjoy beautiful Balingup and surrounds for the weekend, accommodation options can be found here (note some have a minimum two-night stay):
We look forward to seeing you soon! Thanks for your interest in knowing where and how your food is grown.
