About this Event
Gary Mehigan, chef, restauranteur and former MasterChef judge, has cooked and tasted many dishes from around the world throughout his career and one of the highlights was South Korea.
The ultimate foodie, Gary's whole life revolves around the exploration of flavour. Through his travels, he bonds over food and revels in learning about local cuisines.
As part of a journey for ‘Far Flung’, a food & travel show, he spent time in South Korea. In particular, Seoul and Jeonju, which were the highlights of his trip and where he took part in the famous ‘Bibimbap Festival’. He cooked some of the destination's most famous dishes including Korea's specialty Kimchi and competed in the annual Bibimbap Contest.
Gary discovered the unique flavours of South Korea and now he wants to share the adventure with you via a virtual cooking class. Join him for this unique experience, hear stories from his journey as he cooks some of his favourite dishes from his South Korea travels.
During this event, Gary will showcase dishes from his journey including Bibimbap and Kimchi with some unique twists on these traditional recipes.
