Event description
This session looks at what is, and what is not, misconduct and how it is dealt with under the Corruption, Crime and Misconduct Act 2003.

About this event

Are you:

• a senior manager or have responsibility for employees?

• in a human resources or governance role?

• in a conduct and integrity area involved in promoting integrity and preventing misconduct and corruption?

The Corruption Crime and Misconduct Act 2003 (CCM Act) assists in strengthening integrity and accountability across the WA Government sector.

The Corruption and Crime Commission’s role under the CCM Act is to assess, investigate and expose serious misconduct in the government sector.

The Public Sector Commission’s role under the CCM Act is to oversight minor misconduct, provide advice on promoting integrity and to help prevent misconduct.

Your CEO also has a role to notify of misconduct to the CCC or PSC under the CCM Act.

In this 1.25 hour session we will:

• explore the specific roles and responsibilities under the CCM Act

• describe who is covered by the CCM Act

• discuss what is meant by minor and serious misconduct.
