Sorce Studios presents: Water Awakenings ~ Monthly Events
Event Information
About this Event
Water Awakenings is a creation birthed by a collective of passionate artists, activists, family and community members, cultivating an energy of awareness around the protection, education and celebration of water.
Together we hold a unified intention to shine a light on the importance of water within our community and global family, creating appreciation and activism through art and inspiration, gratitude and prayer, song, story and dance.
We aim to empower our unique personal relationship with water, orchestrating solutions for a new way forward in our health and wellbeing, reaching even further towards the greater protection of waters circling the surface and inner core of the planet.
Our monthly water conscious events culminate with the cycles of the Full Moon.
As we move towards World Water Day March 22, 2020, each monthly event will feature a local artist who is active and passionate about raising awareness and uplifting the community around the protection and celebration of water.
A coming together of community with a collective vision to ENGAGE & INSPIRE.

INTRODUCING -
👑 WHAIA
Sonic Weaver
AOTEAROA / New Zealand
Whaia walks with an array of Singing Crystal Bowls and Taonga Puoro/Traditional First Nations Instruments creating her own unique cradle of embedded healing phonics.
Born in Hawkes Bay a Ngati Kahugnunu woman, Whaia was raised in the outback desert of Yindjibarndi country in the Pilbara, far North Western Australia. The arid harsh beauty of the land and her Aboriginal grandmother shaping her story from the age of 6.
Celebrating her culture and connection to source Whaia activates an ancient primordial voice that will no doubt rumble your inner jungle, soothe your bones and shake loose that which can serve your awakening process.
Whaia’s journey has taken her from the sounding bowl of Hervey Bay to the sacred heart of Arnhem land singing the Whale songlines with Aboriginal Mirning elder of South Australia, Bunna Lawrie & The Whaledreamers, touring 4 and a half years on stages all across the country.
Forming the bridge from Aotearoa to Australia Whaia aka Hineipurangi as she has been named by her Maori elders holds strong as Kaiawhina for Kurawaka Australia. ‘Kurawaka’ being a Maori Wahine teaching program founded by Te Raina Ferris, upholding the ancient woman’s rituals and rights of passage, delivering retreats and workshops open to all women on the east coast of Australia, ‘Empowering Women Through Culture & The Arts’.
With a depth of ochre in her skin and mana in her bones, Whaia has shared her sonic water ceremony at every event for the past 8 years, gifting the sacred waters directly from her crystal bowls to the people, to the land, with a collective intention of raising the vibration of waters across time and space. She’s a true warrior woman with a soft yet powerful delivery, entwining ones heart, body and spirit.
Join her for a tune up like no other.

Haydon Southpaw
Presenting on the structure and vibration of water.
Haydon Southpaw presents on the structure and vibration of water, it’s healing abilities and how everyone can benefit from awakening to its possibilities.
Touching on the importance of which type of vessel we use to carry water, he will be gifting all attendees with a glass “conscious” bottle while exploring this relationship.
Haydon found himself working with water after it serendipitously entered into his life, healed him on multiple levels and he’s been flowing with it ever since.
Six years of passion has seen him dive deeper into various aspects of water, he considers it his purpose to share his learning along the way to help others become self-empowered and reconnected with its magic.
