Event description
Songwrite is a Uniting Church event for crafting new songs for contemporary worship - open to aspiring songwriters and those with experience

About this event

Whether you write words or music or both, Songwrite is a space for working on new songs. There's no expectation. This weekend offers the gift of space and encouragement.

The heart of Songwrite is a weekend community who listen to God's creative Spirit, learn from one another, and support each other in writing new music. The weekend includes community worship and prayer, input from experienced songwriters, space to be creative - solo or with others, and mentors for feedback and guidance.

Due to COVID uncertainties, we have decided to hold the Melbourne event online. We are working hard to make this a positive collaborative experience, with time for input, collaboration, feedback, contemplation and creativity.

This event is hosted by Port Phillip East Presbytery with the endorsement of eLM, Synod of Victoria and Tasmania, and the Assembly, Uniting Church in Australia. Other Songwrite events will be held in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Darwin on the same weekend, with parts of the program linked online.
