A night to celebrate Somali culture and heritage. It will be commemorated through a night of cultural dance performances as well as comedic acts, fashion parade to showcase Somali fashion through the ages, educating the members of the wider community about Somali culture. This night will also include providing special awards to the youth who have achieved milestones in their education, whether it be high school or university. It is a formal dinner where we will be catering traditional Somali food. The main aim of the event is to uplift the spirits of the members of the Somali community as Somalis are very community based. This night will also aim to build resilience by reminding the Somali community that through their previous history, they can overcome the implications of Covid-19.
