Solstice - Re-birthday weekend

Solstice marks the mid-point of Winter and brings the promise of lighter days and new beginnings. For vignerons, it marks the start of pruning – the meticulous process of preparing our vines for their rebirth in spring.

With the first vines planted onsite in 1999, this year marks our 20th birthday & we are celebrating across the weekend, hosting two lavish food & wine events here in the picturesque Coal River Valley.

Join us on Saturday 8th June (6pm – late) for our Solstice: Shared Table Feast. With only 100 tickets to be released, this exclusive event is an indulgent food and wine experience. Included in your ticket price of $105 p/head (plus booking fee):

  • Live entertainment (Matt & Abby)

  • Canapes + sparkling wine on arrival

  • A Shared Table feast (see menu below)

  • Dessert + a glass of reserve label wine

  • Exclusive discounts on the entire Nocton range

  • Limited release wines available for tastings & purchase

Alternatively, spend Sunday 9th June (12 – 3pm) with us for our Solstice: Sunday Sesh. Listen to live music whilst enjoying a shared table smorgasbord of amazing produce by chef Paul Foreman. With complimentary tutored tastings running from our cellar door every 45 minutes, this is the perfect opportunity to speak with the team and learn intimately about our range. Included in your ticket price of $65 p/head (plus booking fee):

  • Live entertainment (Matt + Abby)

  • A full grazing table experience (see menu below)

  • Birthday cake with accompaniments

  • A tutored tasting from our cellar door

FAQs

How should I dress for the event?

Whilst there will be shelter provided in the form of a large marquee, please note that this is still primarily an outdoor, winter event. Rug up to stay warm.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Is this event child friendly?

On Saturday 8th, this is an adults only affair (18+ only.) On Sunday the 9th, whilst the answer is an unbiased yes, the menu is set and there are no 'childrens' food options. Furthermore, this is a working vineyard and there will be fire-pots lit on the evening - Nocton Vineyard will take no responsibility for the saftey of children.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

A bus running from Hobart will be provided for Saturday night. We have only 35 seats available and will charge $10 per person (in addition to ticket price). To book and pay for your bus transport, please call our cellar door directly. First in, best dressed. There is parking available onsite for both events.

What's the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can either bring a printed ticket, or display your ticket via a mobile device on arrival.

I have dietaries, can these be accommodated?

If you have any questions regarding specific dietaries, please contact the vineyard directly. We will liase with our caterer on your behalf and try to accommodate if we can.

Will there be alcoholic beverages other than wine?

Yes. We will have beer and cider available for purchase.
