Description

SOLDER Autumn Camp provides high school aged students with an introduction to a range of modern technologies such as robotics, coding and 3D printing that are vital skills for the future.

It is school holidays after all, so the program is run in a relaxed setting where the 'makers' get hands on and build their own robot with their own 3D printed avatar.

The projects are open to allow makers to drive the direction they want to go, literally. At the end of the camp, makers will get to take home their creation, and continue programming it and making different creations!

Who should sign up?

This is best suited for 12-17 year olds as we enter text-based programming but is not exclusive to this age bracket. We do however recommend that this program could be challenging for children under 10 years of age.

Why sign-up?

Robotics, coding and 3D printing are vital skills of the future, but their prevalence in the schooling system is limited. We want to empower the next generation of makers by sparking creativity utilizing this technology.

What is covered in the cost of the ticket?

  • Delivery of content, mentoring and support of each maker

  • Use of SOLDER prototyping lab and 3D printers

  • The robot, 3D printed avatar and cheat sheets can all be taken home at the completion of the camp

Please Note: Participants are expected to bring their own laptops and lunch!
