Putting the Person in Personalised Learning
Work with special educators in understanding and using "The Suite of Tools"
Putting the 'person' in personalised learning by getting to know a student well is a deceptively simple idea that can lead to big changes in how we encourage learning and positive growth in the broadest sense of the word.
In this all day workshop professionals will be trained in how to use the Suite of Tools not only to gather information about students' strengths, interests and talents but how to use this information to systematically design personalised learning experiences.
The learning outcomes include:
- To gain skill sin using the Suite of Tools for program planning
- My Leaning Print (Schader & Zhoue, 2004)
- Baum-Nicols Personality Preferences (Baum & Nicols, 2008)
- CLUES (Baum, Schader, Dismuke & Sly 2012)
- Creating Possibilities (Talent Development) (Baum & Schader, 2015) - To gain skill in working collaboratively in student planning
- To use a strength-based, talent focused approach
