Soho Rose Farm x The Powder Room: Spring Fragrance Masterclass gives guests an exclusive insight into the intriguing worlds of rose growing and perfume creation.

Conducted by Kristy Tippett, owner of Soho Rose Farm and Samantha Taylor, director of The Powder Room, the immersive day is suitable for those with a deep interest in both florals and perfume.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the rose paddocks, learn more from Kristy about their growing practises with a main focus on different scents, and gain an understanding of the usage of roses in perfume throughout history from Samantha.

After learning about both industries, guests will study how rose oil is made and put their newfound knowledge into creating a bespoke rose based scent to take home. Guests will then be seated amongst the roses for a delicious rose inspired lunch at a table laden with abundant floral arrangements.

The masterclass will cover:

• Introduction to Kristy and Samantha’s practises.

• Tour through the rose paddocks

• Understanding the different scents of roses grown at Soho Rose Farm

• History of the use of rose in perfume

• How rose oil is made

• How to create perfume with an emphasis on rose and its molecular structure.

• Perfume creation. Guests will spend the time creating a custom rose fragrance under the guidance of Samantha.

• Rose petal immersive experience
