We are excited to announce MUPSS first industry event for 2016: Social Planner Speed Dating! The event will be held on Thursday 22 September from 6.30pm in the MSD Staff Room.
MUPSS industry events aim to provide opportunities for students to build professional networks as well as learn about different career pathways in urban planning.
The focus of this industry event is social planning. We will be inviting a number of professionals from diverse social planning backgrounds to come along to meet, greet and socialise with Melbourne University urban planning students. Short bios of industry professionals attending will be made available to ticketholders in the week preceding the event.
The programme for the event will be as follows: (TBC)
6:30 - Welcome and opening address by Hayley Henderson
6:40 - Conversations at tables with students and professionals, rotating every 6mins (like speed dating)
7:30 onwards - Light refreshments and informal socialising
Opportunities to participate in an ongoing mentorship program will also stem from this evening. More details of this will be provided on the night.
