The Learning & Teaching Centre supports the university faculties and departments to build capacity towards scholarly and innovative learning and teaching practice. As part of continued research into effective educational technologies, the LTC provides online webinars.


This session presents the current issues, opportunities and directions for education in a world powered by Web2.0, mobile, non-passive communication technologies.

It is an online Webinar by Dean Groom, Teaching and Learning Centre at Macquarie University, Sydney.

Who should attend :

Educators beginning to explore how social media impacts learning and teaching, the engagement of students, and the technologies that deliver enriched opportunities. It looks at the paradigm shift in where learning occurs and the preferences of todays learners and how to align and blend learning with technology into the classroom. This is not a 'tools' session and has no commercial content.
