Social Media Data Mining at ECU: Tracking Infrastructure for Social Media A...
Fri. 21 October 2016, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm AWST
Edith Cowan University has joined a consortium of universities with access to a suite of software to enable large scale social media data collection and analysis. This world-first digital research technology is a national-scale infrastructure project to track public social media activities across Australia. It is currently collecting and analysing social media user activity across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with a view to being able to provide base-line understandings across all three platforms for ECU research projects.
The School of Arts and Humanities will be holding an introductory workshop, run by Alkim Ozaygen from Curtin University. Alkim currently supports Curtain University’s TrISMA activities.
