Description

Editing workshop with Kate Noske

Saturday 11 August 2018, 1.00-4.00pm

$35 KSP and WAWU members, $50 others

This workshop as part of our 'So You Want To...' series is brought to you by the KSP Writers' Centre with support from the Shire of Mundaring as part of the 2018 National Year of Lifelong Learning. Tea and coffee provided.

So You Want To ... Polish to Perfection

In this session, Westerly editor Kate Noske will be looking at editing as an active creative practice and an important skill set. We will discuss and practice exercises in several different forms of editing, thinking about how the process of paying attention to the text shifts with each new set of editing concerns. And we will look at the details necessary to polishing a piece for submission to a publication.

Please bring a sample of your own work to consider and discuss in this session, around 1,000 words prose or 20 lines of poetry.
