About this Event
IP (Intellectual Property) can throw up many issues for small business owners if you don't know what you should be aware of. Remove business vulnerability by attending this workshop.
The session will be interactive and allow participants to ask questions and share experiences. A number of real-life scenarios will be used to illustrate the issues. The focus being commercial issues, particularly those which small business owners are likely to come across in day to day activities.
The workshop in 4 distinct sessions will cover:
The Basics: what is intellectual property and why is it important
Names, names, names: focus on trade marks
Agreements involving intellectual property: securing and dealing with IP
IP strategy and management: making the most of your IP
This session is facilitated by Guy Provan of Provan Legal,a specialist intellectual property law firm based in Perth, Western Australia and an associate of BYOM. Guy has more than 30 years’ experience and has worked for both large and boutique IP law firms.
