Description

ABOUT THIS SESSION:

This 2-hour workshop is part of the ‘Smart Supervision’ series for graduate research supervisors, focussing on the topic of working with student writers. Writing is a recurring challenge in the domain of graduate research, and is one of the most-often cited causes of complaint or stress amongst graduate research candidates. However, there are certain things that supervisors can do to help candidates stay positive about their writing, which will be discussed in this workshop. Key points of discussion include:

- Establishing effective writing goals with candidates

- Developing realistic writing plans

- Giving effective feedback on student writing

Seminars will be led from Bundoora or Bendigo, with video conferencing between these campuses.

Registration of attendance is required in order to manage VC bookings and to provide participants with relevant readings or other resources in advance. When booking please select either a Bundoora or Bendigo ticket type, depending on your location.

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
