Description
Working with complex, high-risk clients can be challenging. This 60-minute small group supervision session provides practical guidance for psychologists on how to support clients, manage clinical risk, and maintain ethical, client-centred practice.
Through case-based discussion and reflective practice, participants will explore strategies to guide in and navigating challenging clinical presentations while balancing client autonomy and duty of care.
This session addresses APS competencies relevant to clinical practice:
- Ethical, Legal, and Professional Matters
- Psychological Assessment and Risk Formulation
- Intervention Strategies and Treatment Planning
- Communication and Interpersonal Relationships
- Reflective Practice and Professional Supervision
Outcome
Participants will enhance their clinical skills in managing complex, high-risk cases, balancing client autonomy with ethical obligations. They will gain practical frameworks and reflective strategies to support clients effectively and confidently.
Your Supervisor: Twinkle Garg
Twinkle is an experienced Registered Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, adults, families and parents. Twinkle also has a special interest in the area of neurodiversity.
