The Small Business Innovation Research Program

 

The Advance Queensland Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) is an innovative procurement program which aims to solve ‘unsolvable’ government challenges, by supporting innovators to research, develop and test their solutions to these challenges. The SBIR is being delivered by the Department of Science, Information Technology and Innovation (DSITI). 

 

About the Event 

 

The Information Exchange day is an opportunity for you, the innovators, to hear direct from the agencies whom will present their challenges and participate in a question and answers session to enable you to submit the best possible application.

Please note: Agencies presenting their challenges (4 in total) will do so concurrently.

Program

 

The event will run as follows;

 

2.00pm - Arrival and registration

2.30pm - Welcome

2.40pm - Introducing Advance Queensland and SBIR

3.00pm - Agency challenge presentations

3.20pm - Agency Question & Answer session

4.00pm - Light refreshments

 

Where 

 

The event will be hosted at The Precinct, located in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. This venue brings together Queensland startups, incubators, investors and mentors under the one roof.

The Precinct is an innovation hub for all of Queensland. It has digital and physical links to regional innovation centres and accelerators to create a network of innovators across the state.
