School Groups (years 5-12)
One adult supervisor is required for each group of 20 students. It is expected that a supervising adult will accompany students at all times including during independent study.
Number of attendees
A maximum of 60 participants is allowable in one session. Participants will be broken into separate tour groups of a maximum of 20. Large groups may require multiple time-slots.
SLQ Membership
Membership is free, and easy to obtain online. It provides benefits including access to State Library databases, digitised collections and the video training platform Lynda.com. Members can also book study rooms, save searches and use tags in the catalogue. To maximise use of State Library services and collections, we strongly encourage both teachers and students to become SLQ members prior to visiting.
SLQ members wanting ‘borrowing’ privileges need to upgrade their membership on site. To borrow from the collection, students 15 years and under will need to bring a signed parental/guardian consent form. Students 16 years and over require both proof of age and current residential address. If members are requiring upgrade, please choose “Membership Cards” and enter the approximate number. Allow an additional 15 minutes at the end of your tour for this assistance.
