Event description


Are you ready for a height of fun ?. Challenge yourself and each other to tests of balance, skill, climbing, agility and presence of mind. You’ll enjoy the shared satisfaction of completing sky high activities together.

All children will be harnessed and given instructions. Skypeak staff will explain the safety system and teach you how to use your interlocked double carabiners. Skypeak features more than 80 high ropes, aerial and zipline challenges! At Skypeak you harness up and roam free on the modern steel and tree structures. Come join the fun!!

  • This free activity runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm on 17 January 2019.

  • Drop off and pick up at Auburn Centre for Community 44A Macquarie Rd, Auburn

  • For people aged 12 to 18 years old who live in the Cumberland Local Government Area. Proof of residence may be required.

  • All climbers MUST fill waiver form to participate in this activity, and this needs to be signed by a parent or guardian if the person is under 18. DOWNLOAD WAIVER FORM HERE.

  • Be Sun-smart - make sure to apply plenty of sunscreen and wear a hat before you start your climb.

  • Please ensure you wear comfortable clothing and sporty, enclosed shoes.

  • It’s also a good idea to cover your shoulders, waist and thighs so the harness fits comfortably.

  • Lunch and a drink will be provided on the day

Each person can book a maximum of three programs per week. This enables other young people to take part in Cumberland Council's School Holiday Program.

1. Is there parking onsite?

Yes there is parking on site

2. What do I have to bring with me?

A completed and signed waiver form must be emailed to before the event, failture to do so will result your child not accepted to participate in the activity.

3. Am I required to remain onsite while the session takes place?

No our staff will be available at all times during the activity times. However you must pickup your children ontime when the activity finishes.

4. What if my child is sick on the day or an unexpected event comes up and we can no longer attend?

5. Is there a phone number I can call if I can't find the venue?

The locations of the activities are not hard to locate, on the map embedded on the event clearly shows the location. However you can call 8757900 to be directed

6. Are your programs/activities accessible? Can a young person with a disability take part in any activities?

Council tries to ensure the majority of the activities and programs held are accessible and inclusive, however some of these may not be deemed accessible due to type of activity. It is recommended before you book, to contact Councils Youth Participation Team on 87579359 or email to check whether the activities will be suitable for your needs. Please note all young people with a disability should be accompanied by a carer over 18 years old.

7. What is the process for wet weather? How will I know if the event is going ahead or not?

The final decision as to whether or not the event will proceed will be up to Cumberland Council We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible to families via the telephone and social media channels.
