Overview

Paint your own skateboard deck with indigenous artist Sammy Trist.

In this workshop for 10-17 year olds, you'll paint your own skateboard deck with acrylic paint.

Learn about Kulin Culture and traditional south eastern line art while exploring your connection to country. All materials provided and you will get to take your artwork home.

About artist Sammy Trist

Sammy is a Taungurung Women of the Kulin Nation in Victoria. She is a multidisciplined artist whose work includes paintings, sculptures, murals, storytelling, and digital designs.

Sammy recently worked with a group of young people at Tounnin Wominjeka to create the mural Healing Country on the outside of the youth hub.
