Small Business Workshop Program

$60 per participant

Have you recently started a business or are you planning to start one? The Six Steps to Success for your Small Business program is designed to provide you with the tools to build the foundations of a successful business. The workshops will be delivered each Wednesday night over a 6 week period. With a maximum of 15 participants the program provides an opportunity to develop your network and give your business the best opportunity starting out.

1) Starting Your Business

9 October 2019 - (5.30 - 9.00pm)

Thinking of starting a business but not sure where to begin?

This Small Business Victoria workshop will step you through the process, help you get set up right the first time and connect you to a range of government resources and free mentoring.

2) Developing A Social Media Strategy

16 October 2019 - (5.30 - 7.30pm)

Not sure where to start when it comes to creating a social media presence?

Learn how to develop a strategy aligned to your business goals using the right platforms. Receive assistance to identify your target audience, how to reach them and how to measure your objectives.

3) Finance Fundamentals

23 October 2019 - (5.30 - 7.30pm)

Even a profitable business can fail if it runs out of cash.

Cash flow is the lifeblood of a business because it allows you to pay your bills and be free of financial stress. Avoid running out of cash in your business by learning how to effectively forecast and improve your cash flow, and never get left short again.

4) Marketing Your Business

30 October 2019 - (5.30 - 7.30pm)

Marketing is simply how well potential and existing customers know what your business does. So marketing is not just about getting new customers, it is a vital part of building and establishing your business brand. Develop a marketing action plan to focus your effort and resources in the right areas, including market research, online activities and customer service.

5) Taking Your Business Online

6 November 2019 - (5.30 - 7.30pm)

Do you feel confused, overwhelmed or nervous about taking your business online? You have come to the right place. Whether starting a new business or taking an existing business online, this short workshop will help you make informed decisions about the right online tools for your business.

6) Business Planning Essentials

13 November 2019 - (5.30 - 7.30pm)

A clear business plan is an essential determiner of long-term business success – as the saying goes, ‘fail to plan and you plan to fail’. Get the tools, templates and support you need to guide you through the key steps in the planning process and give your business the best chance of success.
