Meet this pioneering South Australian, born at Mount Bryan East in 1888, who was better known overseas than in Australia. Marvel at his exploits as a polar explorer, submariner and aviator, writer, photographer and cinematographer, World War 1 correspondent, naturalist, geographer and climatologist. Discover details of his life and times through our collection materials.

A 30 minute walking tour is included.
