Presenting the Digital Earth Australia (Data Cube), and its new approach for organising and analysing the vast quantities of satellite imagery and other Earth observations in both space and time, making it quicker and easier to provide information on issues that can affect all Australians.

How theLINK has enabled the evolution of the FSDF from a conceptual framework represented in static booklets (2012) to a governed, online, dynamic, cloud-based analysis and discovery tool.

The rapid pace of spatial innovation it is now more important than ever that the spatial industries stay connected and support Geography taught in schools and provide the much needed link into industry to ensure curriculum relevance. Understanding the world and using our spatial lens, skills, knowledge and perspective are important to bring about positive change to the world, its environment and its people.

Land Use Victoria brings together long-standing foundational spatial functions that have been apart for over a decade, together with new industry engagement, data analytics and digital innovation functions which are driving greater public value from government land and spatial data. Amelia will provide an 'over the horizon' view of the short, medium and longer term directions for these new functions.


The GTAV would like to extend an invitation to breakfast participants to attend the Geography Teachers Association Victoria keynote plenary session on Unlock STEM: Geography is the key 9am- 10:30am. The sessions will be facilitated by GTAV Patron, Rob Gell AM.
