Workshop title: Understanding working with adults who use family violence: Key insights from an expert on practice responses to adults using family violence.
Audience: SHRFV leads and other Victorian public health sector staff leading practice change within public health settings.
"As SHRFV leads, what needs to inform our thinking as we integrate practice in working with adults who use family violence into SHRFV."

About the presenter:
Dr Peter Streker is a community psychologist who specialises in family violence - primarily working with male perpetrators of violence. He completed his PhD on emotional and psychological abuse.
Peter has also worked with individuals and communities on topics such as drugs and alcohol, street sex work, racism, complex trauma, social cohesion, homelessness, community leadership, gender equality and violence prevention.

Please note that this workshop is not about implementation/mapping of staff, and it is not MARAM training but rather a workshop for SHRFV staff who have focused on responding to victim survivors to begin to explore practices in responding to patients and consumers using family violence.
