Anne Fraser, Christy and Jason Wallace and Andy Penkow, come together as part of "Should Have Hired a Car Tour 2022 "

About this event

Anne Fraser, Christy and Jason Wallace and Andy Penkow, come together to share their songs and stories as part of "Should Have Hired a Car Tour 2022 "

Singer/songwriters Christy and Jason Wallace are quickly building a following in the South East of South Australia for their deeply-personal songs, reflecting on life, from the melancholic to the joyous, with an alt-country approach often mixed with rock and folk influences in a unique and intriguing style. Christy's debut album, Angel on Earth, produced by Bill Chambers, brings her songs to a new audience with its stripped-back studio production of her touching and diverse songs. Harmonies, fiddle and guitars ranging from acoustic and electric to lapsteel, along with harmonica and banjo combine to embellish the carefully crafted songs.

Anne Fraser. was raised in a musically gifted family in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. Growing up watching her late father and other family members play guitar, piano accordion, piano and organ for many years.”“Anns father was a very good poet and she credits him for her lyrical journey. It wasn’t until 2019, after some challenging life events, that Anne began writing poetry, song writing and playing guitar. “I didn’t know at first what was happening, the words seemed to come from somewhere and I just had to write them down, now I fully understand" . Ann is very grateful that this gift came to her and for the mentoring she has received along the way. Anne has a love and affinity for country, bush balladeering and writing honest lyrics. This has been a life changing journey and she intends to make it her life. Anne like's to think she's telling a story rather than singing a song, writing a poem where all the words just belong, writing from the heart and singing from the soul.
