Learn how to capture stories through short films, straight from your phone.
About this event
In this weekend Short Film Workshop, you’ll learn all the fundamentals of storytelling through film, from a range of creative filmmaking mentors - and all you'll need is your smart phone!
From concept development, to storyboarding, to filming techniques, sound and editing, you’ll work in small teams to create short films that focus on stories in the local area around Green Square. At the end of the workshop, you'll have a short film that you've created, along with the knowledge and confidence to keep telling stories using your mobile phone.
Your tickets will include an information session, 7–8:30pm on Friday 14th May, to meet the mentors, start developing your ideas and chat with your fellow budding filmmakers.
May 14th | Intro Evening 7–8:30 pm
May 15th & 16th | Hackathon 10 am–5 pm
What to bring: your smart phone (preferably one with a headphone jack or a converter). If you don't have a phone available to you, please let us know in advance so we can arrange alternatives.
These workshops are a part of 107’s Joynton Avenue Creative Program, proudly funded by NSW Government through My Community Project.
