Event description

Description

Our indigenous animals are struggling with the effects of urbanisation and the removal of habitat but with a few simple changes, a garden can become an inviting space for local fauna to visit. Learn how to become a champion for wildlife by incorporating food sources, water, shelter and nesting places in your garden for our local fauna. Many native plants will also benefit your edible garden by providing shelter, mulch, accumulating nutrients, weed-suppressing groundcovers and attracting beneficial birds and insects. Get to know some of these plants at a fantastic local indigenous nursery!

This is a free workshop but bookings are essential.

Please feel free to bring any surplus produce, seeds, cuttings, plants, gardening magazines etc to swap and share!
