Description

Policy makers! Opportunity to share your expertise and experience of the policy cycle, so together we can make great things happen.

The Service Design Team in DPC are running three workshops and five interviews in the coming months to help us understand the mindset and the challenges policy makers face. We want to use your knowledge to help us build a prototype of the entire cycle used to create and implement policy.

In collaboration with you, we’ll then test and refine the prototype with the aim of improving the policy process for you as well as outcomes for citizens.

The workshops will help participants build relationships for collaboration across departments and will be an opportunity to share knowledge and learn from others about what worked for them and what challenges to look out for.

There are two formats available to policy makers:

1. 60 minute one-on-one interview, or

2. half-day workshop.

Interview questions and workshop activities will seek to answer the following questions:

  • What is the current Victorian Government policy making process?

  • What are the pain points or places where the process is challenging the Victorian Public Service (VPS)?

  • How do Policy Makers gather evidence? What sources do they trust and why?

  • Who do Policy Makers partner with to support their decision making?

The outcomes of this work will be deidentified and aggregated.

A trained researcher may observe the work to increase the quality of outcomes.

Register your interest for this date or an interview!
