Event description

Description

This symposium is an opportunity to engage with the ideas and directions that will define our future learning and teaching workforce at RMIT University. Provocation for the symposium will be provided by Emeritus Professor Geoff Scott from the Western Sydney University who will provide insights from his research on the future requirements of teaching and learning leaders as part of the Learning and Teachers Leaders Survey (Scott, Coates & Anderson, 2008) and in addition to the insights from research undertaken in the VE sector by Coates et al. (2010).

The symposium will also provide some preliminary feedback to staff on the results from the 2017 RMIT learning and teaching leadership survey. There will be a response to the provocation by a representative panel of RMIT University staff, followed by the opportunity for broader staff contributions to the discussion.
