Description

Shadow and Myth: The Journey of Innana

Robert Boyle

Stories and Myth have informed healing practices for millennia. They assist people and cultures to expand their horizons beyond the everyday challenges and place them within a deeper, broader story. They inform us through metaphor, and hold us within the warm embrace and challenges of hero’s’ and heroines.

This professional workshop will explore the descent and return of Innana, an ancient Mesopotamian story of depth, longing and ultimately the reclamation of Shadow.

Shadow in this context refers to areas of the psyche that have been avoided and/or denied and been pushed into what Robert Johnson refers to as the long back bag we drag behind us.

Through he utilisation of creative processes and action methods participants will gain skills that will further their professional practice. The processes may be adapted and used with community builders, corporate sector, drug and alcohol services, and rites of passage facilitators. One of the defining features of this training is its adaptability to many audiences.

The training is suitable for therapists, coaches, counsellors, entrepreneurs, trainers, person and professional development trainers, and anyone in the healing professions.

Robert Boyle Ph.D. is a well-respected spontaneity coach and guide with over 30 years of training in a variety of healing modalities. He sees this depth work as essential to transforming individuals and culture. He holds a Ph.D. in Social Ecology, First Class Honours in Social Science, Advanced Diploma of Art Therapy, Diploma of Shamanic Studies, Advanced Certificate of Gestalt Therapy, Advanced Training in Psychodrama.
