Event description

Description

Explore the personal journey of settlement for the many thousands of migrants and refugees that make Australia home each year.

The purpose of this special event symposium in Canberra is to bring together some of the concepts explored in SCOA's 2017 workshops on the National Settlement Services Outcomes Standards and use those to take a deeper look at the role of those who assist in the settlement process, and to discuss how this may impact the work of the sector into the future.

At the conclusion of the symposium, SCOA members are invited to SCOA’s Annual General Meeting (separate registration required). Other delegates may choose to attend the AGM or use the opportunity to take a tour of the National Museum of Australia’s unique and inspirational displays.

Immediately following the AGM, all delegates and members are invited to join us for lunch in the Peninsula Room, enjoying one of Canberra’s best views and an opportunity to network, share stories, and explore possible collaboration.
