Overview
Setting goals for children should be simple, purposeful, and centred on their strengths, interests, and learning needs. This workshop shows educators how to write clear, achievable goals that directly support children’s learning and link meaningfully to developmental pathways and learning outcomes.
Educators will learn a practical process for identifying the need for a goal, writing it clearly, and planning the strategies, environments, and intentional teaching that help children move forward.

• Identify when and why a child needs an individual goal
• Write clear, observable, meaningful goals
• Link goals to learning outcomes in a purposeful way
• Co-construct goals with families for shared understanding
• Plan strategies across all five EYLF outcomes
