Session six: Seeing the big picture – working in a systems-thinking way

Inspiring all Tasmanians to get healthy requires big picture thinking. The Island Project is a standout example of a largescale, innovative project that is addressing a significant health issue in Tasmania. Hear more about the research, education and prevention approach behind this project so you can help to inspire a healthier community in your own work.

Consider how you can apply systems-thinking and strategies in your work.

Professor James Vickers: Head of Tasmanian School of Medicine and Director of Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre will share the work of The Island Project and how it is working across multiple systems to reduce dementia.

• Michelle Morgan: Healthy Communities Officer, Public Health Services, will discuss practical ways to use systems-thinking in your everyday work, to help you make sense of and act on messy situations.

Only 40 spots available.

Recordings of each session will be available online after each event. To help us make this an engaging event please leave your video camera on during the session and participate through asking questions and breakout discussions.
