Event Details

Public Sector organisations constantly change – in response to changes in service need, government policy or political perceptions of service alignment. Organisations and managers need to actively manage these changes. This process of ‘service review’ focuses on appropriateness, mapping of service processes, resources, performance and planning.

The organisation’s stakeholders and people also need active engagement. This includes leadership and support through these processes, deliberate organisational development and cultural change.

This workshop will show how to understand, plan and manage workplace change and service review including the key skills and tools for implementing new structures, clarifying service arrangements, and engaging stakeholders and staff.

The program will be conducted over two one day workshops to allow ‘live’ workplace application.

Training Objectives
  • Review and illustrate the authorising environment, impact and opportunities of change and service review in public sector services
  • Summarise and discuss the origins and principles of ‘program management’, service improvement and performance measurement in the public sector.

  • Identify and apply key tools for implementing structural change, including clarification or roles and new working arrangements
