Sensible Shoes: Online Book Club

Sensible Shoes, by Sharon Garlough Brown is a story of four strangers who meet at a retreat centre. The story follows their separate journeys of isolation and struggle, and their combined search for deeper relationship with God.

Join us over 4 sessions as we meet as an online book club. This series is suitable for anyone interested in exploring spiritual topics in the context of a novel. Whether you're new to Sensible Shoes, or have read it before, reading as a group is an opportunity to enjoy meeting with and learning from others who share a desire to live in relationship with God.

Prior to each session we will read 3 chapters on our own. We will then meet together to discuss the characters and what has stood out to us from our reading.

Session dates are:

• 9.30-11am (AEST) Thursday July 30th
• 9.30-11am (AEST) Thursday August 13th
• 9.30-11am (AEST) Thursday August 27th
• 9.30-11am (AEST) Thursday September 10th

The book club will be conducted online, via Zoom and coordinated by Alison Tye. The cost for attending the 4 sessions is $20. You will also need to have a copy of the book "Sensible Shoes" by Sharon Garlough Brown. You can purchase a copy in your preferred format through Amazon, Koorong and a number of other distributors.
