Event description

Description

Please join the Murdoch School of Education for a workshop presented by international communications consultant, Dr Bruce Hilliard.

In this 1 hour interactive workshop, you will be introduced to a system that supports educators to rapidly define and optimise lesson content, so that it directly aligns with the way students learn. Learn how to use ‘cognitive templates’ to optimise your teaching, based on more than 30 years of detailed research in the fields of cognitive science and educational psychology. You will see how the templates can be used to rapidly build learning content, aid student comprehension and improve student retention of content. Just as importantly, these strategies can can cut content development time by up to half.

In addition to the information provided during the workshop, participants will also be given access to a set of handouts that help make the methodology user-friendly and able to be quickly applied once back in the classroom. This workshop is designed to support anyone who wants to improve learning outcomes for their students and save time in development of teaching / training materials.
