This seminar is designed to be a practical seminar for finance and managerial staff within a small to medium Not-for-Profit organisation, covering the practical concepts of costing and pricing in an NDIS environment using Microsoft Excel. There are many Microsoft Excel based costing and pricing tools available within the disability sector in Australia today. To facilitate this seminar we are using the NDS/CURTIN costing and pricing tool as an examplar.

  • Demonstration of the tool

As a result of participating in this seminar, you should be able to:

  • Express and understanding about Activity Based Costing and why it is used in the costing and pricing of disability services under individualised Funding and Person Centred Care.
  • Describe the key decisions that need to be made prior to commencing costing and pricing.
  • Describe how to develop the parameters of costing and pricing.
  • Appreciate where costing and pricing information may come from.
  • Understand some of the governance arragements of need to be considered in undertaking costing and pricing.
