Youth workers suffering from vicarious trauma, stress related injury and overwhelming powerlessness. On top of all this they are stuck in a system that isn't doing enough to support young people. Dealing with racist, homophobic, sexist attitudes of colleagues and management. High caseloads, lack of resources and toxic work cultures.
Looking out for ourselves is key to youth work success. But it’s hard to do if you don’t have a clear plan for action. In this 3-hour webinar you will gain the tools you need to create a self-care action plan that will hold you in good stead throughout your career.

Facilitator BioAaron Garth is the Executive Director of Ultimate Youth Worker, a coaching, supervision and training service based in Melbourne. Aaron is a youth work academic, researcher and an advocate for the professionalisation of the youth sector. Aaron has worked as a youth worker in a number of settings including street drug and alcohol outreach, rehabilitation, family services, residential care, local government and youth homelessness since 2003.
