What is Self-Advocacy and how will it help you?

This workshop developed by Dorothy Sellers, B.Com.Welf:M.Soc.Pol and presented our trained Advocates, you will:

learn what self-advocacy is and the skills you need
know how and when to use them
learn how to identify problems
how to prepare yourself and how to do it

Designed for anyone interested in being able to speak up for themselves. So whether you are someone with a disability or not, a family member, a carer, or someone who works within the sector or someone wanting to know how to advocate for themselves, come and learn how its done. Sessions are interactive and we encourage you to Speak Up and find your voice!

Those attending will receive a workbook containing the presentation, activities, resources, tip sheets and the Plan. You will also receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Tickets are strictly limited and bookings are essential. When booking please advise any AUSLAN, interpreter service or any other special requirements you may have.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided so please ensure you notify us of your dietary requirements.
