This is your Victorian Solar Installers Industry Event of the year. This year our conference will be held on 21st and 22nd of February 2018 at the All Seasons Hotel Bendigo.

The conference is specifically created for the Solar Installer.

Day 1 Feb 21st - SOLD OUT

Site visit to Australia’s largest Concentrating Photovoltaic (CPV) Solar Power Station in Bridgewater.

This 500-kilowatt grid-connected facility is used for the demonstration and testing of Solar Systems’ proprietary ‘Dense Array’ CPV solar conversion system. It includes Solar carports with electric vehicle charging points and dual and single axis trackers for solar panels.

The pilot plant in Bridgewater is the first of its kind in Australia and features eight dish systems in a so-called “dense array” that achieves conversion efficiency from its cells of more than 40 percent – more than double some of the best silicon-based conventional cells in commercial production around the world.

Rod Dewar - Lead Application Engineer - Fronius

Rod is a wealth of information not only with the Fronius range of inverters but he also sits as a technical advisor on the EL-042 Standards committee.

In this half-day training session, Rod will be giving insights into the Australian Solar and Storage market including:

  • Technical side of Battery storage 
  • How storage will play a part in the future of the Energy Grid 
  • Where Fronius is heading in the future of storage
  • Fronius storage solutions & components

Standards update

As a member of the EL-042 standards committee, Rod will be delivering important information relating the changes that came with new AS/NZS4777.2. What is happening currently and any changes that may be happening in the future. This your chance to be a part of the discussion and have your questions answered.

As a member of the EL042 standards committee, Rod will be delivering important information relating to AS4777. What is happening currently and any changes that may be happening in the future. This is your chance to be a part of the discussion and have your questions answered. 

Issues that the installer may confront with the new changes:

  • How inverters can alleviate many of these issues 
  • Issues with storage and feed-in including:
  • Product settings - Grid involvement and advanced features

This is a session that you can't miss. You will learn valuable information that relates to you the installer!

Day 2 Feb 22nd 9.00am Conference

David Tolladay - Holmesglen’s Renewable Energy Training Senior Instructor. 
In this presentation, there will be an informative session on the GCPV+battery storage training.

Sandy Atkins - Technical & Compliance Specialist at Clean Energy Council
In this presentation, Sandy will cover the standards development, common demerit point issues. Answer most common questions.

Ric Brazzale - Managing Director at Green Energy Trading.
In this presentation, he will cover all things on the STC Market Analysis as well as industry Forecasts.

Max Rankin - Distributed Energy Lead at AusNet Services.
His presentation is on how, why and where Solar fits into the grid. This includes system sizing with regulations as well as battery technologies.

Product training from manufacturers including:
MPower - DPA - Winiaco - ARVIO - Plasmatronics - Catch Power - Selectronic
(Day 2 includes 50 CPD points).
