Seeing the Big Picture – Photography
Arts Law workshop @ PhotoAccess
Taking photographs means creating copyright. In this free workshop, Arts Law will take the confusion out of the many legal issues around creating, licensing, exhibiting and selling your photography and photo-based art. The workshop will cover copyright, moral rights, contracts and give you some tips on negotiating better deals with agents and galleries as well as some tips for understanding competition terms and conditions.
About the presenter: Delwyn Everard is Arts Law's Director for Legal Services and she has over 20 years’ experience working for law firms in the US and Australia and in the public sector. A former principal of boutique Sydney IP law firm Spruson & Ferguson Lawyers, she has an extensive background in copyright and trademark litigation. Delwyn is passionate about equipping artists with the skills and knowledge to understand their rights and negotiate a fair reward for their creative endeavours.
