Seeing Country

Panel Talk and Morning Tea

RAG, Cleveland

Seeing Country celebrates Aboriginal ecological understandings by highlighting resilient relationships with the lands and waters. This exhibition brings together artistic practices and experiences from saltwater, freshwater and rainforest Country to share insights of place across time.

Through diverse mediums and techniques artists expressinnovation, ancestral knowledge and the importance of the natural world. Collectively, Seeing Country translates ways of seeing that are central to culture and caring for Country.

Curated by Freja Carmichael, Seeing Country includes works from RAG Collection, new commissions and loaned works.

An exhibition held in conjunction with NAIDOC Week 2019 and Quandamooka Festival.
