Security Primer for Startups - You could get hacked too!
Event Information
Description
You're only a small startup, right? You'll never get hacked, right? Think again...
Startups are about being nimble, being different, being disruptive. Things are done lean, in a hurry, and constantly change. Of course, that shiny app, amazing website or killer API will eventually land on the Internet, where there are no rules and the bad guys don't differentiate between startups and banks - just easy and hard targets.
This session will cover some of the common methods used by attackers, and the simple mistakes startup owners and developers make in getting the product ready to ship. Some short hacking demos mixed in with real world examples will show both business owners and developers that being a startup is no excuse for being an easy target.
