About this event

In conjunction with the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre, the Department for Education invites secondary school teachers to attend a professional development workshop exploring the cyber security industry and opportunities for students.

Cyber security is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. It has a bright future for jobs in South Australia, where more cyber security professionals are required to meet demand now and into the future.

Best of all – your students can get started before they finish school with pathways that lead to exciting cyber security careers!

Attendees will discover more about:

  • what it means to work in cyber security
  • pathways from school to a career in cyber security
  • the importance of students building their own digital brand
  • how to support students to make professional connections.

All attendees will tour the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre at Lot Fourteen, including the world class cyber testing range. This provides South Australian companies with a safe virtual environment to practice handling real-world cyber warfare scenarios and train with new technologies.
