About this Event

We invite you to come and experience a day of deep rest and relaxation on this 1-day Seasonal Living Yin Yoga Retreat in Taradale, Central Victoria with Jane Mallick, Yoga Teacher and Coach and guest teacher Glenn Polley, Shiatsu Practitioner and Teacher.

You will enjoy a day of yin yoga, meditation, yoga nidra and a tour of Tara Springs gardens.

Included is a seasonal lunch made with organic produce from Tara Springs and enjoy a garden tour in the beautiful season of Autumn.

This retreat is open to men and women.

WHERE: Taradale Hall.

COST: $225 early bird (extended to one week prior to retreat) or $250 thereafter. The retreat is limited to 10 people. Booking is essential.

ABOUT THE RETREAT

The retreat is designed according the 5-elements and the energetics of the season.

Living and practicing yoga with an understanding of the 5-elements can help us to align our lives with nature. Yin yoga can support and harmonise the meridian system, bringing benefits to our health, well-being, energy levels and vitality.

In this Autumn Metal retreat we will focus on the Lung and Large Intestine, the meridians of the Metal Element. Letting go of what we no longer needs, prepares us for the winter months ahead. Through Yin Yoga postures we will connect to our true Self and spirit so as to feel more present with greater vitality and optimism.

OVERVIEW OF DAY

In the morning we will gather at the beautiful Taradale Hall for a morning of discussion, yoga and meditation followed by seasonal, organic vegetarian lunch. Included will be an overview of the Metal Element with Glenn Polley.

In the afternoon a walking meditation and visit to the gardens @Taraspringslifestyle. Alternate activities will be provided if raining.

Beginners and advanced yoga students are welcome. No yoga experience is necessary. However, Yin Yoga can be seen as a more ‘advanced’ practice, where it requires some mind body awareness. Please DM me if you are interested, but unsure if this retreat is for you.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHERS:

Jane Mallick is a dedicated and passionate yogini, who has been practicing yoga for nearly forty years. After a successful career in Social Health Research and Organisational Change Management, Jane found herself in her forties at a midlife health crisis point. She turned to yoga, and in deepening her practice, she found a powerful antidote for the many years of working too hard and fast. Jane is inspired by the sacred feminine to bring yoga to her community and support people to align to a life of ease, grace and full potential.

Glenn Polley is a highly respected and committed shiatsu therapist, practicing since 1995 and teaching since 2005. After a cancer crisis in his late 20’s he entered into a period of deep introspection that led to a subsequent journey via shiatsu, into an embodied understanding of how ‘who we are’ manifests in the fabric of one’s body. He brings his rich life experience and wisdom, along with a fun and compassionate approach into his treatment sessions and teaching to facilitate others in finding a deep connection to their own innate inner wisdom.

Jane and Glenn live in Taradale, Central Victoria, where they are co-creating Tara Springs: Lifestyle, Healing and Retreats. This workshop includes a tour of their beloved Tara Springs garden.

TESTIMONIALS:

Jane's Yin Yoga retreats are warm and welcoming. Whether you are a beginner, or someone who has practiced yoga a lot, there really is something for everyone here. It is very nourishing taking time out for yourself, and the positive after effects reverberate long after the retreat. Lisa D

Jane's Yin Yoga retreats offer a deep connection with not only yourself, but the season. They allow contemplation, opening and deep relaxation. A melding of the mind, body, spirit and environment. For me, they have become anchor points in the busyness of the year. Lisa E

The wonderfully nurturing Yin yoga retreats with Jane are perfect for tuning in to the energy of the season, and my own desires and needs. Jane creates such a safe and reassuring environment in which to really let go of the external and completely nourish body, mind and soul. A quarterly treat! Rachel
